Have to Make These Brownies

Okay so I made these brownies a couple of times now but let me tell you they are the very best!!! You all are going to have to make them! I got it from one of my favorite food blogs at Ashleigh's Edibles

Here is the recipe:

Best Brownies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. Grease 9-inch square baking pan.

2. Stir together butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Stir in chocolate chips (I gentle stir, keeping most of chips near the top of the batter to prevent them from falling to the bottom)

3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares. About 16 brownies.

Japanese Zeros

Ever since the airshow here at McChord this summer Logan has been obsessed with Japanese Zero planes. The other day he comes to me and goes mom look at the Japanese Zero I drew. For being 5 years old and on a magna doodle he sure did an awesome job!

Jason Standing Up By Himself!! YAY!!!

Okay so Noah and I were sitting in the living room tonight watching the kids and Jason started standing up all by himself. It was so cute! The funny thing is that he had to stand on a book if we moved it away he would get it and open it back up and then stand on it. Too cute!! Here is a video of him standing and then a little way into it he tried to walk to me. Sorry the video is sideways I can't figure out how to get it to rotate and it is a little long but enjoy anyway!

Nintendo Wii Baseball

We got a Wii earlier in the year and the boys love playing baseball on it. We let them play the other night after finishing their dinner and shortly before bed. They both have Mii's which are your character during play and they are supposed to look like each of them. We made these while Blake still had a bald head so his guy is bald. Jason just chilled out on the couch while watching them play.

Logan batting and his Mii catching a ball.

Blake's batting and also his Mii.

Blake and his Millionth Owie

So Blake had a doctor appointment last Monday because I have been worried about him since he is constantly falling wether he is walking, sitting or running. Well the doctor's checked him out and came to the conclusion that he is just really loose, as in holding his joints in. So if he relaxes he just loses control of his body I guess. They want him to go to physical therapy and see what the therapist thinks we can do to help him hold himself together better. Well the day after we go to see the doctor I take the boys to MOPS and we were two steps away from the car to go home and what does Blake do? FALL!! He hit his forehead right on the asphalt. Here is a couple pictures.

Our Beloved Shelby

Today we said goodbye to the best dog anyone could ask for. We had decided to not take her with us to Japan and so I put her up on one of my many yahoo groups yesterday to see if anyone would be interested in taking her. Well I didn't expect it to happen so soon. We had this wonderful Army couple want her and so they came and got her today. I cried a lot but I know it is the best and I know that they will take care of her. So here are some pictures of her from puppy to now. We love you Shelby and you will be missed!!!

This is when we brought her home, she was 6 weeks old.

These are pictures from Summer 2007

These are from today when we said Goodbye.

Homeschooling

Noah and I have decided to pull Logan out of public schools and teach him here at home. He is very excited to be learning at home with his "special" school books and programs. We are going to enroll him into an online based school curriculum for kindergarten and see how he does with that. Pray for us and this decision that we have made to work and help him learn what he needs to.

Last Summer Hoorah!!

We went outside the other day to play in the sprinkler with our neighbors. It will probably be the last time this summer that the boys will be able to play in the water(unless you count rain). Logan and Blake were enjoying running around with there friends and going through the sprinkler. Jason on the other hand accidentally went through the sprinkler and was not thrilled at all. We are so sad that the summer is almost over but it was great while it lasted.

Logan Playing Soccer

Logan is on the 5/6 year old team here on base and he had his first game this last weekend. He played last fall but on the 3/4 year old team and they did not have games they were just learning the fundamentals, so he is very excited to get to play in games. He seems to be getting better at dribbling the ball and controlling it with every practice. It is great to get to watch him learn the sport and enjoy it.

We took Logan this last weekend to take some individual pictures and Blake and Jason wanted to get there pictures taken also.

Our Three Little Men

We went home in June/July 2008 and we took some pictures of the boys together. This one is my favorite, hope you enjoy!!!

Logan's First Day of Kindergarten

Here are some pictures from Logan's first day of Kindergarten. He gets to eat breakfast everday before class at the school cafeteria and then they walk with their teacher, Mrs Hartman, to class. He absolutely loves going to school.

Our Attempts at getting Jason to walk for the first time

So a couple nights ago we had the boys all outside playing and Noah had taken Jason's little push walker toy outside so that he could walk around. Well I got him to take a couple of steps without it and decided I needed to go and get the camera so we could get some shots of him walking well after the camera came out the only thing we were able to get him to do was to stand for a few seconds and to walk with his toy. Oh well I am sure we will get more chances right. However enjoy the videos of him playing!

Logan's 5th Birthday

Logan turned 5 on August 30, 2008. How time flies by. He had a bouncy castle, Transformers Pinata and Cake. He had such a wonderful birthday with all of his friends from school and church able to be there. WOW! I can not believe that I already have a 5 year old and that he is already in Kindergarten.

Jason's 1st Haircut

Noah was gone for a month and I kept saying that Jason needed a haircut as soon as daddy got back. Within a few day's of Noah's arrival home Jason got his first haircut. Here are some before, during and afters.

I can not believe how much my baby does not look like a baby anymore.
