Misawa AB has a newcomers tour that goes every Thursday and Friday and Noah, Jason and I were able to go this last week while Logan and Blake were at daycare. We went to Misawa City on Thursday and went to a Buddhist Temple and a Samurai House Museum(from what I could tell he was the last samurai in Misawa). On Friday we went about 45 minutes south and went to Hachinohe City. While in Hachinohe we went to the Fish Market there and to a Shinto Shrine and then went shopping at a Japanese mall. The next few posts will be of pictures of some of the places we went.

Misawa Buddhist Temple
Buddhist temples are also surrounded with the cemeteries here. I was told from someone(can't remember who) that the Japanese live Shinto and died Buddhist. Anyway it is Japanese law that all people are cremated and it is very expensive to have a grave site here. Cheap plots cost about $30,000 and the Headstones start at about $90,000. Here are some pictures of the Buddhist temple and of the cemetery.
